Wushu

Wushu is dedicated in developing our young talents in the discipline of Chinese martial arts and moulding them into confident, self-disciplined and tenacious sports person. The members undergo CCA trainings by learning various Wushu techniques that challenge and condition their body and mind. This full-body workout helps to improve students’ overall fitness. The gradual process of stretching enhances their flexibility. The physical exercises improve their coordination, as well as to gain more strength and better stamina.

However, Wushu is more than just a sport. During trainings, values such as respect, patience and tenacity are emphasized to develop students’ character which will guide their behaviour in all aspects of their life.

Learning Journeys / Competitions

Our P5 and P6 school team members participated in National School Games Junior and Senior Divisions competition 2023. Many of them participated in two events. Three members achieved excellent results. They had also attained their personal best performance.

2. Klaus Tan (6D) Senior Boys 4-Duan spear - 7th position

3. Yu Zhuo Yu (6C) Senior Girls 4-Duan spear - 4th position

Participation in National School Game 2023

The following pupils had also put in commendable effort in various events.

- Ballesteros Ocean Moira Cruz (6A) participated in 4-Duan Sword and 4-Duan Spear

- Tee Yu Jun (5C) participated in 3-Duan Nanquan, 4-Duanord and 5-Duan Spear

- Gisele Chen Zi Ting (5C) participated in 3-Duan Nanquan,

- Sheryl Yap Si Yu (5A) participated in 3-Duan Nanquan and 4-Duan Sword

Participation in Wushu and Sanda Championship 2023

Our new school team members had the 1st chance to join wushu competition in Wushu and Sanda Championship 2023, they had really put commendable efforts for the competition.

- Tan Wei Jie (6D) participated in 1st set Changquan

- Tan Jun Teng Andre (4A), Chai Bo Yu Chesley (4C), Zheng Ming Yang (4D), Chloe (4E), Phang Chen Kun (5A), Choy Yi Rui (5A), Tan Jun Kang Andric (5A) and Zhi Jinya (5E) participated in Elementary Changquan
